BIO-PLATEAUX
A shared territory
The BIO-PLATEAUX project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Amazon Cooperation Program. It aims at developing the sharing of data, information and experiences on water and biodiversity in aquatic environments between French Guiana, Brazil and Suriname, particularly in the two transboundary basins of the Oiapoque and Maroni rivers.

Signing of the Partnership Agreement between the Ministry of Public Works of Suriname and the International Office for Water for the implementation of Phase II of the BIO-PLATEAUX project
The Ministry of Public Works of Suriname and the International Office for Water(OiEau) signed a partnership agreement on 4 April for the implementation of the BIO-PLATEAUX II project.
The document was signed by Mrs Laronde, Director of International Cooperation of OiEau, and Mr Kadosoe, Director of Services of the Ministry of Public Works of Suriname, in the presence of Mrs Steenwinkel, Vice-President of the Territorial Collectivity of French Guiana, and Mr Lecante, President of the Water and Biodiversity Committee of French Guiana.
