BIO-PLATEAUX
A shared territory
The BIO-PLATEAUX project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Amazon Cooperation Program. It aims at developing the sharing of data, information and experiences on water and biodiversity in aquatic environments between French Guiana, Brazil and Suriname, particularly in the two transboundary basins of the Oiapoque and Maroni rivers.

The 7th Conseil du Fleuve Oyapock: results and proposals for the future
The 7th Oyapock River Council was held on February 12, 2025 in Saint-Georges (France). The BIO-PLATEAUX project was honoured to participate in the annual meeting of the local cooperation consultative body.

Technical visit of the Minister of Public Works of Suriname: a week of collaboration in French Guiana
From 16 to 20 January 2025, Mr. Nurmohamed, Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Suriname undertook a technical visit to French Guiana, organized in the framework of BIO-PLATEAUX initiative, supported by the European Union.
Following the Paramaribo Conference, which was held from 30 October to 2 November 2024 in Paramaribo, the visit focused on:
